Medicine Lodge KS Turns Back
Time
Every year at the
end of September time runs
backwards for Medicine Lodge
KS. The community turns back
time to transform into a
frontier town, with parades,
the Medicine Lodge
Historical Night Show &
Kansas Championship Ranch
Rodeo.
This is the
21st year for the Ranch
Rodeo. It host some of the
state’s oldest & largest
ranches. 12 Teams from
Kansas are invited to
compete in the rodeo with
the winners receiving the
honor of competing in the
World Champion Ranch Rodeo
in Amarillo TX in November.
Team events are much like
day working on the ranch
with Calf Branding, Cow
Doctoring, Double Mugging,
Team Penning, Wild Cow
Milking and Ranch Bronco
Riding.

year the Rodeo will also
include Open Ranch Horse
Show, Jr and Sr. Divisions,
and new this year, Junior
(kids), class, September 26,
