Lmac - 2010-07-29 5:23 PM As the old saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words . . and I agree, it's interesting how soggy just doesn't cover the short, fat mares -- There's so much terminology that people use as 'buzz words' . . . it's nice to see them defined. "Flat kneed" is a term that I think is thrown around a lot . . .what's everyone's take on that one??

Linda- that's kind of a "pleasure-y" thing huh?  Is it one that doesn't have a lot of knee action....have never really heard cutters talking about "flat kneed"!!!

I always thought "flat-kneed" meant there was little knee action too!  Anyone else?

That is what it means around here. Real important to the "peanut rolling" fans.

Other folks might refer to them as draggy, not a lot of action in the legs. Ever watch them suckers move? It is painful to see that then see a free moving working horse.

Oh honestly I don' know what is wrong with you all. Everyone knows it means a female horse that has been left out in the rain

Heh, my horses are always soggy.  It's rained none stop for a full year and the moments it didn't rain you were wishing it would with all the humidity in the air!
